The Miami football program has added several impact transfers this spring. Linebacker Jaylin Alderman, running back Damien Martinez and wide receiver Sam Brown are projected starters. Cornerback Dyani Hill adds depth. Miami is targeting other transfers in the portal.

Martinez is the 33rd-ranked transfer overall and second RB. Brown is the 60th-ranked overall transfer and 10th WR. Alderman has a transfer grade of 87, but no ranking. Hill is the 827th-ranked transfer and 107th CB. Miami has the 14th-ranked transfer portal class. That includes the winter transfer additions.

Miami has reached most of its goals in the transfer portal in the spring window. The Hurricanes added experienced and proven histories of production at needed positions. Projected starting RB Mark Fletcher might not be ready for the season with a Lisfranc foot injury. Martinez becomes the obvious starting RB.

Other than returning starters Wesley Bissainthe and Francisco Mauigoa, Miami is very inexperienced at LB. Alderman should help steady LB as the third starter in 2024. Brown will team with returning starters Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George to give Miami one of the best WR groups nationally.
