The spring transfer portal window commenced on Tuesday and will run through April 30. The Miami football program is expected to lose as many as 12 players. Edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly and offensive lineman Logan Sagopolu were the first Miami players officially entering the transfer portal on Tuesday morning.

Running back Henry Parrish will also enter the transfer portal. A report emerged last week that Parrish is returning to Mississippi after two seasons with Miami. With the departure of Parrish expect Miami to add RB. Oregon State RB Damian Martinez is a player to watch for Miami as a possible addition.

Quarterback Jacurri Brown is the most frequently discussed Miami player who could leave Coral Gables. Brown was the fourth QB to enter the Miami spring game on Saturday. Miami could lose more OL to the transfer portal. On defense, defensive back and linebacker are the positions to watch as potential Miami departees.

Miami is currently above the NCAA 85 scholarship player limit. With the departures of Kelly, Parrish and Sagapolu Miami is around 87 scholarship players. The number of Miami scholarship players includes 10 2024 signees who were not early enrollees. Expect a lot of movement for Miami in the transfer portal.
