Miami football standing in 2025 RB Shekai Mills-Knight's top 8
Three-star 2025 running back prospect Shekai Mills-Knight posted a top eight in an X post with the caption "Committing soon!! where's home?" Earlier this month Adam Gorney, the National Recruiting Director for Rivals.Com projected the Miami football program as the favorite for Mills-Knight.
Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio State and Tennessee are the programs in Mills-Knight's top eight. There are no 247Sports crystal balls logged for Mills-Knight. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects Mississippi as the leader for Mills-Knight with a 36.7 percent chance for a commitment.
Tennessee is listed second with a 16.3 percent chance for a commitment from Mills-Knight, followed by Auburn at 13.9 percent, Alabama at 11.6 percent, Miami at 8.8 percent and Florida and Michigan at 3.1 percent. Miami seems to be trending much higher than the On3 RPM is projecting. Miami was one of six official visits Mills-Knight took.
Miami hosted Mills-Knight for his first official visit the weekend of May 31. Michigan hosted Mills-Knight June 4, followed by Alabama the weekend of June 7, Auburn June 10, Tennessee June 14 and Mississippi the weekend of June 21. Mills-Knight has visited Mississippi the most times overall with six visits.
No other programs have hosted Mills-Knight more than twice per his On3 profile. The official visit to Miami was the only time Mills-Knight was in Coral Gables. Mills-Knight is the 442nd prospect, 33rd RB and 15th player in Tennessee out of The Baylor School in Chattanooga per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Miami currently has a commitment from four-star 2025 RB Girard Pringle Jr. Pringle Jr. is the highest- ranked prospect committed to Miami in the 2025 class. Miami has taken two RBs in each of Mario Cristobal's first two full classes with the Hurricanes. The expectation is for Miami to sign two in the 2025 class.
In addition to Mills-Knight and Pringle Jr., Miami also hosted American Heritage RB Byron Louis for an official visit in June. Louis is trending to Florida State per one crystal ball from 247Sports and the On3 RPM. Miami currently has the 17th ranked 2025 class in the 247Sports composite rankings.
