Miami football standing with 2 4-star WRs who visited this week
After signing four-star wide receivers, Ny Carr, Chance Robinson and Joshisa Trader in the 2024 class, the Miami football program is in a good position for blue-chip wideouts Cortez Mills and Naeshaun Montgomery in the 2025 class. Mills visited Coral Gables twice this week and Montgomery was there this weekend.
With visits on Tuesday and beginning on Thursday, Mills has been in Coral Gables nine times. Florida and Nebraska with two visits each are the only programs that Mills has been to multiple times besides Miami. The 247Sports composite rankings list Mills as the 95th best prospect, 11th WR and 12th prospect in Florida in the 2025 class.
Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U and 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy each logged crystal balls for Mills to Miami. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects Miami with a 48.2 percent chance for a commitment from Mills. Florida is second at 15.6 percent.
Montgomery is the 128th prospect, 16th WR and 17th player in Florida in the 2025 class out of Miami Central. Loy logged the only crystal ball for Montgomery to Penn State. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects Florida with a 28.4 percent chance for a commitment from Montgomery, Miami at 21.3 percent and Penn State at 15.3 percent.
Four-star wide receiver Waden Charles is the only player committed to Miami at the position in the 2025 class. Charles visited Miami last weekend with five other offensive prospects. Mills is the highest-ranked WR trending to Miami and the one with the highest percentage to the Hurricanes.
Mills is one of at least three WRs that Miami is the leader to gain a commitment from. Miami led for Montgomery earlier this week. The Hurricanes have an opportunity to sign a blue-chip WR class for the second straight year. Miami WR coach Kevin Beard has excelled as a recruiter with the Hurricanes.
