Miami football versus FSU named top 10 most anticipated 2024 rivalry games
Florida State at Miami on October 26 could be the biggest game between the Hurricanes and Seminoles since the 2004 Orange Bowl. Fox Sports named FSU at Miami as one of the "Florida State at Miami on October 26 was named by Fox Sports as one of the "10 most anticipated rivalry games of 2024 college football season."
Fox Sports looked back to the Miami loss at Florida State in 2023, the expectation of improved quarterback play in 2024 and the new signal-callers for both teams this season. The Miami at Florida State game is the only one not involving one or both teams from the Big 10 and the SEC.
Florida State will enter the game versus Miami this season with a four-game winning streak against the Hurricanes. Miami leads the All-Time Series versus Florida State 35-33. Before the four-game Florida State winning streak in the series, Miami won four consecutive games of their own versus the Seminoles.
Entering the 2024 season the focus in the Florida State-Miami rivalry will be on the additions at QB for both programs. Florida State added former Clemson and Oregon State QB D.J. Uiagalelei. Miami brought in former Washington State QB Cam Ward. Miami should have the advantage at QB against FSU in 2024.

Fox Sports highlighted Uiagalelei throwing for 2,638 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions with six rushing scores last year. Ward led all returning QBs in college football with 311.3 passing yards per game in 2024. Ward had 3,736 passing yards, 25 TDs and seven interceptions with 144 rushing yards and four scores.

Uiagalelei had a memorable meeting last season. Ward threw for 404 yards and four TDs with one rushing score in a 38-35 Washington State win. Uiagalelei threw for 198 yards, one TD and one interception with 61 rushing yards and another score. Fox Sports closed by mentioning Miami and FSU should be two of the best teams in the ACC.
