The Miami football program has three 247Sports crystal balls logged in their favor and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects the Hurricanes with a 91.6 percent chance for a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Jaden Wilkerson, Wilkerson is making his commitment announcement on Wednesday.

In his preview of Wilkerson's commitment announcement, Brian Dohn of 247Sports mentioned Miami is a finalist with Central Florida, Rutgers and Syracuse. The ability to work with Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal is what is drawing Wilkerson to Miami.

Wilkerson mentioned Rutgers OL coach Pat Flaherty and the Scarlet Knights' facilities, Syracuse head coach Fran Brown and the proximity of the Central Florida campus as what drew his interest in the other three finalists. Miami, Rutgers and Syracuse each hosted Wilkerson on official visits in the past three weekends.

Those are the only official visits listed for Wilkerson by 247Sports and On3. Wilkerson took unofficial visits to Central Florida, Florida State and North Carolina in 2023 per his 247Sports and On3 pages. Wilkerson is the 1,225th-ranked prospect, 95th OT and 168th player in Florida in the 2025 class.

"Miami: "I think coach (Alex) Mirabal is one of the best o-line coaches in the country. Him being able to be there and me being able to be there and talk to him, and coach (Mario) Cristobal being an o-line guy, those are two big reasons."

Miami currently has seven prospects committed in the 2025 class. That includes interior offensive lineman Takaylen Muex. Muex is the only OL committed to Miami in the 2025 class. Miami will potentially have to replace several OL after the 2024 season concludes.

Center Zach Carpenter who transferred from Indiana during the 2024 offseason has one year of eligiblity remaining. Guard Anez Cooper and left tackle Jalen Rivers have the option of entering the 2025 NFL Draft. Miami has done an excellent job recruiting on the OL in the last two recruiting classes.
