Miami top 10 in college football's best new uniforms, helmets for 2024 season

Brad Crawford of 247Sports has Miami sixth in his "Ranking college football's best new uniforms, helmets for 2024 season," Miami is the only ACC team Crawford ranks in his top 10. The rankings other than Miami are Baylor, Boise State, Iowa State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Mississippi Liberty and Oregon.

The Orange tops with the white pants are reminiscent of the uniforms of the Miami championship era. Miami's uniforms have been polarizing since they switched from Nike to Adidas beginning with the 2015 season. Miami is 67-46 in the nine seasons since switching from Nike to Adidas.

Miami unveiled 2024 uniforms and helmets last month. Crawford wrote a separate article last month highlighting the new Miami uniforms for 2024. Texas Tech is also slightly updating its Adidas uniforms for 2024 per Crawford in his article in July. The Miami nights uniforms were also unveiled in July.

The 2024 Miami Nights jerseys will feature orange numbers on a black jersey with two orange stripes on the sleeve. Phil Hecken of Uniwatch praised the Miami Nights uniforms shortly after they were released in July. Miami has night games scheduled for 6 PM versus Florida A&M on September 7 and September 27 versus Virginia Tech.

The most famous Miami Nights game was the 41-8 win over then number three Notre Dame in 2017. Miami learned it cliched their only ACC Coastal Division title when Virginia Tech lost earlier that day. The Hurricanes defeated the Hokies a week earlier in the Miami Nights uniforms to put themselves in position to win the ACC Coastal.

The infamous loss to Georgia Tech in 2023 was the only time the Hurricanes wore the Miami Nights jerseys last season. Miami seems likely to wear the Miami Nights jerseys versus Virginia Tech more so than against FAMU. Miami's game versus South Florida and the remainder of the ACC Schedule will be announced later this season.
