Miami versus South Florida game time and network announced

Miami will play at South Florida on September 21 with a 6 PM Eastern Time kickoff on ESPN or ESPN2 as announced by the ACC on Monday. After the week three games, the ACC will announce the more specific network designation for Miami at South Florida. Miami hosts Ball State on Saturday with a 3:30 ET Kickoff on the ACC Network.

The game at South Florida will be the second for Miami on the ESPN family of networks. Miami beat Florida 41-17 in the season opener on August 31 on ABC. Florida and Miami also had a 3:30 kickoff time. Miami at South Florida will be the first Hurricanes' game this season on ESPN or ESPN2.

Virginia Tech at Miami on September 27 with a 7:30 PM ET kickoff on ESPN is the only other Hurricanes' game this season with a scheduled start time and network. The ACC generally determines start times 12 days out. ESPN can put scheduled start times on a six-day hold four times per season.

As Miami competes for a College Football Playoff berth, we can expect several more games this season to have premiere kickoff times and be televised on major networks. Expect the SEC to receive most of the ABC College Football Prime Time games this season. Expect Miami to play most often in the 3:30 PM window for big games.

Miami at Louisville on October 19 and versus Florida State on October 26 are big games to monitor for kickoff times and network. Miami at Georgia Tech on November 9 and the regular season finale on November 30 are also critical for Miami's quest for an ACC Championship game berth.

As Miami continues to win and with quarterback Cam Ward as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate, the Hurricanes should become more attractive to a national television audience throughout the season. Virginia Tech on September 27 is the first 2024 ACC game for Miami.
