The recruitment of 6'9 2025 five-star power forward Cameron Boozer and his 6'4 four-star point guard twin brother Cayden Boozer are down to Duke and Miami in their recruitment per Rivals analyst Jason Jordan. Signing the Boozers would be significant for Miami and head coach Jim Larranaga.

Cameron Boozer is the second-ranked player in the 2025 class and the top power forward and prospect in Florida. Cayden Boozer is the 20th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the third point guard and fourth in Florida. Consensus four-star shooting guard Matthew Able is the only Miami commit in the 2025 class

With solely Able in the 2025 Miami class, the Hurricanes are still 12th in the Rivals rankings. Able committed to Miami a week after taking his official visit in August. Cameron and Cayden Boozer took official visits to Miami in October 2023. There are six official visits scheduled to Miami in September and October per 247 Sports.

Cameron Boozer has averaged 20.7 points per game, 11.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.1 blocks in three seasons at Columbus per Max Preps. Cayden Boozer is averaging 14.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 5.6 APG and 1.9 steals. The Boozers would be the foundation for a potentially elite 2025 Miami class.

"Cameron Boozer for me, which obviously means I’m confused on Cayden Boozer too. I do believe, like most people, that it’s a two-horse race between Duke and Miami but I couldn’t begin to tell you the headache making the call would give me if I had to do it today. Both places make a lot of sense and they do a great job of keeping the cards close to the vest. It’s a strong toss-up for me today."

Four-star Dallas center Jaden Toombs took an official visit to Miami on Thursday per 247Sports. Four-star Charlottesville, Virginia shooting guard Ryan Crotty who is committed to Oklahoma State and four-star combo guard Jerry Easter started their official visits to Miami on Friday.

Four-star Davidson, North Carolina CG Isaiah Davis is taking his official visit to Miami beginning on September 13. Four-star point guard Charlottesville, Virginia PG Chance Mallory will take an official visit to Miami the weekend of October 25 and four-star Orchard Lake Michigan, SG Trey McKenney will begin his visit a day later.

The Boozers would bring a lot of excitement to the Miami basketball program, likely for one year. Cameron is destined to be one-and-done and Cayden would likely join him in the NBA. Matthew Cleveland, Nijel Pack and incoming transfer Kiree Huie are the only 2024-25 Miami seniors. Incoming freshman Jalil Bethea is expected to enter the 2025 NBA Draft.
