Rivals National Recruiting Analysts Adam Friedman and John Garcia provided detailed analysis about what to expect from the Miami football program during the Early National Signing Period from Wednesday through Friday as part of a roundtable with National Recruiting Director for their network, Adam Gorney.

Miami will be one of the programs to watch when what is expected to be a wild Early National Signing Period begins on Wednesday. The Miami football program is projected to flip five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount from Florida State and four-star running back Jordan Lyle from Ohio State.

Other names to watch as potential Miami flips are four-star Florida linebacker commit Adarius Hayes, five-star Ohio State WR commit Jeremiah Smith and four-star Wisconsin cornerback commit Xavier Lucas. Garcia also projected the potential of four-star Miami RB commit Kevin Riley after a weekend visit with the Crimson Tide.

Friedman and Garcia both expect multiple surprises from Miami during the Early National Signing period. Mario Cristobal always has surprises during the Early National Signing Period. The decisions of Blount, Hayes and Lyle will the biggest names to watch. Friedman expects positive and negative moves from Miami this week.

"Friedman: Miami has so many irons in the fire right now that they'll be a surprising team regardless of whether the outcomes are positive or negative for the Hurricanes. Five-star Florida State commit Armondo Blount seems like he's on the verge of flipping back to Miami...Running back commit Kevin Riley might be trending away from Miami but...Ohio State commit Jordan Lyle could flip to the Hurricanes...Florida commit Adarius Hayes and four-star Wisconsin commit Xavier Lucas could end up signing with the Hurricanes. Miami is also working hard to try to flip Rivals250 No. 1 prospect Jeremiah Smith away from Ohio State. At this rate, there could be even more twists and turns by the time Signing Day is finished.

With coverage throughout the ESPN networks and on the 247 Sports YouTube channel, the Miami football program will receive a lot of air time on Wednesday with the moves expected by the Hurricanes. Commitments from Blount and Lyle would move the 2024 Miami class to fourth even if Riley flips to Alabama.

"Garcia: Miami is on a roll ahead of signing day, but there should be plenty of pro-Hurricane fireworks come Wednesday. Five-star defensive end Armondo Blount was at Miami over the weekend and a potential flip back to the Hurricanes, after initially flipping from UM to Florida State...The Canes are in play for Ohio State running back commitment Jordan Lyle, Florida linebacker pledge Adarius Hayes and Wisconsin secondary verbal Xavier Lucas."

Blount and Lyle are trending to Miami via projections from 247 Sports and On3. The recruitment for Lucas seems unpredictable. Hayes is still trending heavily to Florida. Never discount what Cristobal is doing in recruiting. There could be some more surprises for Miami that have not been discussed publicly.

Miami has been on a roll recruiting since flipping five-star defensive tackle Justin Scott in November. The Hurricanes also gained a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Kendall Jackson who was previously committed to Florida. Two former Miami commits are no longer in the Hurricanes' 2024 class.

Three-star Linebacker Vincent Shavers decommitted from Miami and offensive lineman Kavion Broussard flipped to Mississippi. Four-star prospect Cameron Pruitt remains the only LB in the 2024 Miami class. Miami has four OL committed in the 2024 class including 6'8.5, 340 tackle Markel Bell.
