Pro Football Focus asks Does Miami have the most talented roster in the ACC?

Pro Football Focus asked "Does Miami have the most talented roster in the ACC" on Saturday in a post on X. Miami signed the fourth-best 2024 class and brings in the 10th-best transfer class to a roster that returns many key players. Miami has been picked third in the ACC behind Clemson and Florida State in 2024 consensus projections.

Several Miami players are ranked in the top 10 at their positions in the ACC. In addition to Ward, Martinez, Restrepo and Bain several other Miami players are among the best at their positions in the ACC. The Miami players in the top 10 are a mix of returnees and 2024 incoming transfers.

Marshall transfer Elijah Alston is the highest-graded returning edge rusher in the ACC. Bain and Tennessee transfer Tyler Baron via Louisville are also in the top 10 returning edge rushers in the ACC. Cornerback Darryl Porter Jr. is the fourth-best returning graded cornerback in the ACC in 2024.

Jalen Rivers is the sixth-highest graded returning offensive tackle in the ACC in 2024. Miami transfer defensive tackles, Simeon Barrow from Michigan State and Marley Cook from Middle Tennessee State are tied for the eighth-highest graded defensive tackles in the ACC for 2024.

Mark Fletcher and Martinez are the third and fourth-highest-graded RBs returning in the ACC in 2024. Restrepo is the highest-graded returning WR in the ACC. Jacolby George and Houston transfer Sam Brown rank ninth and 10th to provide Miami with three WRs in the top 10 returnees in the ACC.

Miami has a top 10 graded player returning in the ACC in 2024 at every position except TE, interior offensive line and linebacker. Linebacker Francisco Mauigoa should be a candidate for the 2024 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Miami at the least has one of the top three most talented rosters in the ACC in 2024.
