Just two days after Miami took down Houston in a David-and-Goliath style matchup, the Hurricanes were facing the No. 2 Texas Longhorns.

Timmy Allen, Marcus Carr, Sir'Jabari Rice, and more were headlining the Texas' roster that had recently been taken over by head coach Rodney Terry.

After the first half, all seemed to be going according to plan for the Horns, who led by 8 points.

However, Larrañaga and the Canes muscled their way through the second half and past the Longhorns. Miami fought for and earned the 88-81 victory and for the first time in Hurricane history, the team was going to the Final Four.

Devastatingly, UConn toppled the Canes in the teams' Final Four matchup but Larrañaga's run with his Hurricanes was historic and unforgettable.
