The Miami football team lost multiple starters for the Pinstripe Bowl loss to Rutgers in December. The depth charts Miami had in the final regular season game versus Boston College and New York versus Rutgers looked very different. Multiple starters versus Rutgers will be replaced on the depth chart in the 2024 season opener.

Miami had four new starters on offense and three on defense from the win over Boston College in the regular season finale to the Pinstripe Bowl loss to Rutgers. The new offensive starters for the Pinstripe Bowl were offensive linemen Luis Cristobal and Ryan Rodriguez, quarterback Jacurri Brown and wide receiver Isaiah Horton.

Miami needs to develop better depth on the OL in 2024. Cristobal was a surprise starter for Javion Cohen who opted out. Rodriguez started at center when Matt Lee opted out. Horton started when Colbie Young entered the transfer portal and Brown started when Tyler Van Dyke entered the portal.

Cam Ward will replace Brown, Van Dyke and Emory Williams as the starting QB in 2024. The Miami roster that takes the field at Florida on August 31 will be vastly different than the one who played Boston College and Rutgers. Expect Miami to continue adding transfers during the spring portal period.
