Top 2025 Miami football targets, wide receivers Vernell Brown III and Jaime Ffrench have signed name, image and likeness deals with American Eagle per a report from On3. Brown and Ffrench were able to sign NIL deals after Florida made it legal for their high school athletes to sign endorsement contracts this week.

The deals for Brown and Ffrench were made official by their seven-on-seven program the South Florida Express via their X page on Tuesday. The Florida High School Athletic Association Board of Directors unanimously passed after 45 minutes of debate. The mandate goes into effect for the 2024-25 school year.

Ffrench is one of 13 official visitors to Miami this weekend. Brown will be in Coral Gables for his official visit on Tuesday. Brown is trending to Ohio State. Ffrench has Texas, LSU and Miami as his top three in that order. The On3 Industry Ranking has Ffrench as the 19th prospect, fourth WR and third player in Florida in the 2025 class.

Brown III is the 35th ranked prospect, sixth WR and fifth player in Florida in the 2025 class sper the On3 Industry Rankings. Flipping either Brown III or Ffrench from their projected commitments would be a huge coup for Miami WR coach Kevin Beard and the Hurricanes' staff.

Ffrench told On3 "You want to be taken care of anywhere you go" when asked if NIL will play a factor in his decision about which school he will commit to. Florida is the 36th state high school federation to allow its athletes to sign NIL. The decision by the Florida Federation is the most significant.
