Longtime college football analyst Chris Fallica, a Miami alum, posted to X that he expects the Hurricanes' due diligence in their search for a new athletic director to replace Dan Radakovich, who recently announced his retirement, effective June 1.

Fellica reposted an X post mentioning Jim Frevola as the perfect candidate to replace Radakovich as Miami AD. Frevola is the President of Business Operations for AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League and has been the Chief Commercial Officer for the Vegas Golden Knights and in senior leadership for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Frevola has been with AFC Bournemouth since December 2022, spent 10 months with Tampa Bay before that and was with Vegas from 2017 through March 2022. Frevola was also the Chief Partnership Officer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2014-2017 and Vice President - Global Marketing Partnerships, Ultimate Fighting Championship from 2011-June 2014.

The above are all according to Frevola's LinkedIn profile, which also shows him as a 1992 Miami graduate. In addition to working for the Cleveland Browns, Dolphins and Marlins on his LinkedIn profile, Frevola was the Miami Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs from 2007-2010.

Another potential candidate

Pete Thamel of ESPN posted to X at the time Radakovich announced his retirement, "the name to watch for Miami to target in the AD search is Michael Yormark, the president and CEO of ROC Nation Sports International."

Yormark has been in his position with ROC Nation since March 2014. Before ROC Nation, Yormark was the President and Chief Executive Officer for the Florida Panthers from 2003 to March 2013. Yormark is a University of Maryland graduate and holds a Master’s in Sports Administration from Ohio University.

Frevola and Yorkmark seem likely to be highly considered in the search for the new Miami AD, likely to be led by University of Miami President Joe Echevarria. Miami is in an excellent place with Mario Cristobal as the head football coach and Jai Lucas as basketball coach in the two marquee positions in the Hurricanes' athletic department.
