Miami is bringing in Bucknell transfer guard Quin Berger as Jai Lucas continues to reshape the Hurricanes' roster through the portal.

Miami adds Bucknell guard Quin Berger

Berger — a 6-foot-2, 195-pound senior from Malvern, Pennsylvania — played in 30 games with eight starts for Bucknell in 2025-26 after returning from an injury the year prior. He averaged 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game, hit 22 three-pointers and logged 21 steals. He shot 32.6% from the field and 30.6% from three-point range on 72 attempts.

Berger scored a career-high 18 points at Akron on Dec. 3, going 6 for 8 from three, and later had 11 points with four steals against UMBC.

Berger has now been at three different Division I stops. He began his career at Saint Joseph's, where he appeared in five games as a freshman in 2022-23. He then transferred to Bucknell, missed time in 2023-24 with a wrist injury, and returned in 2025-26 to carve out a larger role. Berger missed the 2024-25 season after suffering an ACL tear in preseason workouts.

He played sparingly as a freshman at Saint Joseph's in 2022-23, appearing in five games and logging 11 total minutes. He did not score in that stint, going 0 for 3 from the field, all from 3-point range. He then transferred to Bucknell, where he appeared in 24 games off the bench in 2023-24 before that wrist injury interrupted his year. In that first Bucknell season, Berger totaled 43 points, 22 rebounds and five assists while shooting 35% from the field and 30.6% from 3.

Berger joins Villanova guard Acaden Lewis, Robert Morris guard DeSean Goode and Georgia center Somto Cyril as incoming additions for the Hurricanes. Lewis is the headliner of the transfer class after a productive freshman season at Villanova, where he averaged 12.2 points and 5.3 assists.
