Florida International was the only FBS team in Florida that did not lose in week 11. The State of Florida Power Rankings did not change after the week 11 results. Miami remains the only team in Florida with a winning record. Central Florida, Florida and South Florida all need two more wins to become bowl-eligible.
FIU must win its remaining three games to become bowl-eligible. Central Florida has a 37.2 percent chance of winning six games to become bowl eligible, Florida has a 43.4 percent chance, FIU has an 11.1 percent chance, and South Florida has a 69.3% chance per the ESPN Football Power Index.
Miami has a 51.0 percent chance of winning the ACC Championship and a 65.0 percent chance of making the College Football Playoff per the FPI. Miami's loss at Georgia Tech on Saturday probably means they have to win out to earn a CFP berth. Miami has a bye week, hosts Wake Forest and is at Syracuse to finish the 2024 regular season.
Florida Atlantic and Florida State are playing out their seasons without the possiblity of making a bowl game. FAU finishes the 2024 season at Temple (in a battle of the Owls), versus Charlotte and at Tulsa. Florida State has a bye week then hosts Charleston Southern and Florida to finish the 2024 season.

The seven Florida FBS teams have a cumulative record of 27-39 in 2024. Without Miami, Florida FBS teams would be 18-38 in 2024. Florida was picked 12th in the SEC preseason poll. Florida State was picked to win the ACC for the second consecutive year and was 10th in the national polls in the preseason.
South Florida and Florida Atlantic have arguably underperformed after being picked fourth and sixth in the American Athletic Conference preseason rankings. FIU and UCF were each picked eighth in the Conference USA and Big XII preseason rankings. FIU has outperformed their preseason pick with a 2-2-3 record in CUSA.
UCF is 13th in the Big XII with a 2-5 record. The Knights have lost six of their last seven games after they started 3-0. Miami is the only team in Florida exceeding its preseason conference rankings. Florida State and Miami were the only Florida teams to be nationally ranked in the preseason.
