Saturday, a crucial matchup between the ACC conference leading Miami Hurricanes and the Florida State Seminoles will commence in front of a hostile crowd at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. The Hurricanes should be well-rested and ready to battle after having a bye last weekend. After being idle, the Canes slipped down one spot to number three in the nation.

Oregon leaped frogged the Canes with their win over the Penn State Nittany Lions. The last battle for the title of becoming the "undisputed kings "of the state of Florida will be settled, once and for all. Florida State was upset last weekend by the University of Virginia. For the Seminoles, they would love to end the Hurricanes playoff quest.

If the Miami Hurricanes would like to become one of the nation's elites, this game is definitely a must-win. The Hurricanes should expect the Seminoles "best effort." It is up to the Canes to "rise above" this week's challenge. Mario Cristobal's program is capable of marching into Tallahassee and coming out with a hard-fought victory.

When the Miami Hurricanes last played, they dominated the University of Florida, despite not playing an overall complete game. Hurricanes quarterback, Carson Beck, did not play the game, in his usual efficient manner. Thankfully, the Canes physical defense and dominant rushing attack, helped the Hurricanes soar past the whirling Florida Gators.

Unlike the Gators, the Seminoles will face an enormous challenge in Tallahassee. Not only will the Hurricanes battle a team that could match their intensity, but the crowd could potentially rattle any opposing team. Beck must return to the form he displayed in previous contests against worthy opponents that galvanized the Canes into the top five in college football polls, for the majority of the 2025 college football season. The Miami Hurricanes could draw closer to becoming a College Football Playoff program when the "dust settles" on primetime this upcoming weekend.
