Notre Dame became the second non-conference opponent to win at Texas A&M with a 17-7 win at Kyle Field on August 31, 2024. Texas A&M won 41-40 at Notre Dame on September 13, 2025, in a game that had major College Football Playoff implications.

ESPN has not announced where College Gameday will be for the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Miami plays Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on December 31 with a 7:30 PM Eastern Time Kickoff. Quarterfinal announcers have not been scheduled by ESPN yet.
