Louisville running back Isaac Brown forced 16 missed tackles and the Cardinals had 176 yards after the catch in the 24-21 win over Miami on Friday night. Brown had twice as many missed tackles as anyone else nationally in week eight.

Brown had 15 carries for 113. Brown was explosive throughout the game with five carries of at least 10 yards. Eighty four of Brown's 113 rushing yards came on explosive carries with two of at least 20 yards and a long of 28.

Louisville quarterback Miller Moss completed 23 passes in 37 attempts for 248 yards. The Cardinals had 52 passing yards when at the point of the reception. Louisville had 70.1 percent of its passing yards occur after the reception.

Chris Bell led Louisville with nine receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 12 targets. Bell's TDs went for 35 and 36 yards on plays he practically ran through the Miami defense. Bell had the second-highest Pro Football Focus Grade for Louisville at 81.9 in the win over Miami.

WR Caullin Lacy added five receptions for 39 yards on seven targets with 45 yards after the catch. Bell and Brown combined for 255 out of the 367 yards, which is 69.4 percent of the total Louisville had against Miami.

Bell was named to the PFF week eight team with Miami defensive lineman Rueben Bain. Miami defensive back Keionte Scott led Miami with nine tackles, three tackles for loss, had a huge forced fumble to allow Miami to get back into the game in the fourth quarter and added one pass defended.

Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm had a perfect game plan against the Miami defensive line that has been lauded as the best nationally in 2025. Per Dalton Wasserman of PFF, 29 of the 37 Moss pass attempts were through in less than 2.5 seconds with an average of 4.9 yards per target.

Miami defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman is going to have to become more creative with opponents now having a blueprint of how to scheme offensively against the Hurricanes. North Carolina State is the only offense in the top seven in the ACC Miami plays in the rest of the 2025 regular season.
