The top 2025 Miami signee, edge-rusher Hayden Lowe, was named one of the Biggest stock risers during Under Armour and Navy All-American Bowl weeks by Charles Power and Cody Bellaire of On3. The On3 Industry Ranking has Lowe as the No. 113 prospect, No. 12 edge-rusher and No. 8 player in California in the 2025 class.

According to 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins, Lowe is a consensus four-star prospect pushing for a fifth star. Lowe was the youngest 2025 signee who competed at the Navy All-American Bowl. Lowe is one of the most productive prospects in the 2025 class.

In four high school seasons, Lowe had 159 tackles, 42.0 tackles for loss, 24.5 sacks, 29 quarterback hurries, two interceptions, four passes defended and one fumble recovery for Oaks Christian in Westlake Village, Calif. Lowe continued his production with a great week in San Antonio.

Lowe twice received superlatives from Ivins and 247Sports throughout the week of practice. During the second day of Navy All-American Bowl practice, Lowe was named the Senior Alpha Dog. Ivins praised Lowe for his anticipation and versatility throughout the week.

Miami signee Hayden Lowe has fans excited about his future

Lowe joins what will be an extremely young group of Miami edge-rushers behind returning starters Rueben Bain and Akheem Mesidor if Miami does not add any transfers at the position. Armondo Blount, Marquise Lightfoot, Cole McConathy and Elias Rudolph will compete to be in the edge-rusher rotation for Miami in 2025.

At 6-5 and 250 pounds, Lowe has exceptional length, but will likely have to add mass to become an impact player as a freshman. Blount, Lightfoot, McConathy and Rudolph are entering their second seasons with Miami. New defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman vows to play an aggressive and attacking style.

Miami flipped Lowe from USC. Defensive line coach Jason Taylor is credited with securing Lowe signing with Miami. The continuity of Taylor remaining on Hetherman's staff should help Lowe and the other 2025 defensive line signees, plus the players returning for Miami up front in 2025.
