Five-star running back Kemon Spell, the No. 1 rusher in the 2027 Rivals300, has set five fall game-day visits and will be at Miami on Nov. 8 when the Hurricanes host Syracuse. Spell finalized the itinerary with Rivals this week after visiting Notre Dame on Oct. 18 and decommitting from Penn State on Oct. 12. Spell was among the many recruits who decommitted from the Nittany Lions after HC James Franklin was fired.

Spell's upcoming slate begins Oct. 31 at Syracuse for North Carolina-Syracuse, continues Nov. 8 at Miami for Syracuse-Miami, Nov. 15 at Georgia for Texas-Georgia, Nov. 22 at Oregon for USC-Oregon, and Nov. 29 at Michigan for Ohio State-Michigan. He is also working to line up a trip to Alabama. Spell also took an unofficial visit to Ohio State for Ohio State-Texas back in Week 1.

For Miami, the Nov. 8 visit offers a prime in-season look at a priority national target in the 2027 cycle. The Hurricanes face Syracuse that afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium. The matchup also brings an extra recruiting dynamic. Syracuse is among the teams that Spell is considering and visiting. He will be in attendance for their game the week prior to visiting Miami. If the Hurricanes can win handily against Syracuse, it could potentially go a long way in separating themselves from the rest of the pack.

Spell, a McKeesport (Pa.) standout, is ranked No. 7 nationally, the No. 1 running back and the top player in Pennsylvania in the current Rivals Industry Ranking. He's listed at 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds.

As a sophomore in 2024, Spell carried 157 times for 1,681 yards (10.7 per carry) and 24 touchdowns while leading McKeesport to the WPIAL Class 4A championship game. He also has an 11.17-second 100-meter time, which he logged as a 10th grader.

Spell's recent reset has drawn broad national attention. After his Oct. 12 decommitment, multiple outlets reported rising momentum for Notre Dame and Spell then made an Oct. 18 trip to South Bend. Regardless of the ultimate timing for his recruitment, Miami looks to have a meaningful chance to get Spell.
