From a weather standpoint, Miami couldn't have asked for a better CFP first-round opponent than Texas A&M. It does get cold in Texas from time to time, but College Station is located in the southeastern part of the state, so the climate is pretty manageable even in the winter.
But even the Hurricanes couldn't have expected as favorable a weather forecast as what is being predicted or next Saturday afternoon. The forecast from The Weather Channel predicts a partly sunny afternoon with high temperatures at 78 degrees, a very slight chance of rain and a light southward breeze of 10-15 MPH.
Weather for Miami at Texas A&M on Dec. 20

The average College Station high temp on this day is 63 degrees.
This year the forecast calls for it to be near 80°F
A sunny, slightly breezy day with a high near 80 degrees is basically Miami during the winter time. Even the normal high in the mid-60s would be a huge deal, but temperatures near 80 is going to be perfect for a team that stays in the heat year around like the Hurricanes.
What does it mean for the offense?
This means Shannon Dawson should have no concerns about running anything on the play sheet because of wind or rain or any sort of elements. It should also give Carson Beck plenty of confidence to know that the conditions are favorable for him to make all the throws he needs to.
As for the Hurricanes' skill players, the heat likely means it's going to be a fast track, so Dawson is going to want to dial up some plays that get the fast guys like Malachi Toney and Girard Pringle Jr. into the open space where they can be isolated one-on-on against the Aggie defenders. Both teams have plenty of speed on each side of the ball, but the speedy surface is probably going to benefit the offenses more.
Beck is entering next Saturday's playoff game on a heater that coincides with Miami's current win streak. Over the past four games, Beck has completed over 79 percent of his passes (89-of-112) for 1,125 yards with 11 touchdowns and just one interception. The Miami quarterback is playing his best football at the right time of the year.
And now he'll get to enjoy the best weather conditions of any playoff game next weekend.
