Tight end Elijah Arroyo, wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, running back Damien Martinez and offensive lineman Jalen Rivers could all potentially hear their names called on Friday during the second or third rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. The second and third round picks occur quicker than the first round.
Teams had 10 minutes to make selections in the first round. In the third through sixth rounds, teams have five minutes for regular or compensatory picks. Arroyo is the consensus projected Miami player to be the first off the board on Friday night, per ESPN, NFL.Com and Pro Football Focus.
ESPN lists Arroyo as the ninth best available player and the top tight end entering the second round on Friday night. Expect Arroyo to be the first Miami player off the board on Friday night. PFF projects Arroyo 55th overall to the Los Angeles Chargers and Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.Com lists him as the 20th best available player.
Restrepo is projected to be selected 94th overall by the Cleveland Browns on Friday. ESPN has Restrepo as the 173rd best remaining player on their big board and NFL.Com does not have him ranked in their top 150 remaining players. Based on the discrepancy, Restrepo could last until Saturday.

Running back Damien Martinez is listed as the 91st best player on the board by ESPN. PFF does not have Martinez being selected on Friday and is not in the NFL.Com top 150. Martinez will seem to be another Miami player on the fringe of being drafted on Friday.
ESPN ranked Miami edge rusher Tyler Baron 108th on their board, offensive tackle Jalen Rivers 122nd and linebacker Francisco Mauigoa 220th. Rivers could be a late selection on Friday but is more likely to be selected on Saturday. Baron is projected as a day three pick and Mauigoa seems to be headed towards being an undrafted free agent.
If Miami has five players drafted as projected, that would be the highest amount since 2019. All of the Miami players drafted in 2019 occurred between the fourth and sixth rounds. With Mario Cristobal significantly upgrading the talent on the Miami roster, there should be a minimum of five Hurricanes' draftees per year in the future.
