Which uniform combination is Miami wearing in Week 2 vs. FAMU?

No. 7 Miami will host Florida A&M on Thursday night in its traditional home look at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Hurricanes are coming off the all-white "Stormtrooper" combination they wore in the 45-6 win at Stanford. This week they are switching to the home version of that same simple set.

Miami goes with orange jerseys and white pants at home

The Hurricanes will wear white helmets, orange jerseys, white pants and white socks against the Rattlers. That is the traditional combination Miami uses at home.

FAMU has not released its uniforms for Thursday, but when the Rattlers came to Miami in 2024, they wore orange helmets, white jerseys and green pants.

FAMU last wore a new Orange Blossom Classic set last Sunday against South Carolina State at Hard Rock Stadium. The Rattlers came out in orange helmets with a white-and-green stripe and jersey numbers on the sides instead of the Rattler logo. They paired the lids with orange jerseys with green numbers, white trim and a blossom on the green part of the shoulders. White pants with an orange stripe and thick green outline were also included.

Miami wore this orange-and-white home combination seven times last season and went 6-1 in it. The only loss in that look was to Louisville. That ended up being the first loss of the season for the Hurricanes last year. Miami would eventually drop one more game to SMU before going on a run to end the regular season and into the CFP.

Some fans may want green jerseys or orange pants, but the green tops are typically reserved for home ACC games, and orange pants will be saved for another occasion. Thursday is the home opener against an FCS opponent, and the staff is staying with the look Miami has used most often at Hard Rock.
