Another day, another twist in the Xavier Lucas to Miami saga. Last week, news broke that the former 4-star cornerback prospect had left Wisconsin and he'll be playing for Mario Cristobal and his staff in 2025. It's a major get for the Miami Hurricanes program as a whole.

However, there are still some things to iron out from a legal standpoint, as Wisconsin has not only accused Miami of tampering, but Luke Fickell and Co. could push to prevent Lucas from suiting up for new defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman.

Despite that, Lucas, a Florida native, took to social media on Tuesday night, breaking his silence by officially announcing he's home, while donning some sweet Miami gear. As you might have been able to guess, Badgers fans are in his replies letting him have it:

If you take a look at the replies from Lucas' post, they're filled with Miami supporters showing him a ton of love, but also a ton of angry Wisconsin fans who are still holding a grudge over how things played out with the Badgers this winter.

Per multiple reports, Lucas signed a rev-share deal to keep playing for Wisconsin moving forward. However, after he left campus for the Christmas holidays, he had a change of heart and announced he was going to be entering the portal.

Not long after that, it was revealed that Wisconsin didn't submit the paperwork, essentially blocking the talented defensive back from moving on. Lucas hired a lawyer to help him and his family out in trying to return to Florida to be closer to home to play for the Canes. In the end, Lucas indeed left Wisconsin and enrolled at Miami.

Coming out of high school, Lucas was a top target for Miami, which brought him to town for a late official visit to try and get him to flip - it didn't work, with the DB sticking with Fickell. Now, though, he'll end up making plays for Cristobal after all whether people in Wisconsin like it or not.
