Miami defensive lineman Rueben Bain and right tackle Francis Mauigoa were named first-team preseason All-ACC by conference media reporters and writers and quarterback Carson Beck tied for fourth in the conference Player of the Year vote that was released on Thursday.
Bain previously earned 2024 honorable mention All-ACC and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year third-team All-ACC third team and Freshman All-America in 2023. Bain has 67 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks, 3.0 forced fumbles, 1.0 pass breakup and 1.0 pass defended.
Mauigoa earned 2024 second-team All-ACC, Second Team and honorable mention All-ACC consensus Freshman All-American in 2023. Mauigoa has been named a 2025 preseason All-American by On3 and Walter Camp. Most 2026 NFL mock drafts project Mauigoa as a first-round pick.
Bain has played in 22 games with 20 starts in his two seasons with Miami. An injury suffered in the 41-17 season-opening win over Florida in 2024 caused Bain to miss four games. Mauigoa has started all 26 games at right tackle in his two seasons at Miami.
