After a solid, overall performance win against, Bethune Cookman, the Miami Hurricanes will have to prepare for a short week of practice before taking on their in-state cousins, Florida Atlantic University Owls on Friday, September 11th.

Before the game, legendary coach for both the Canes and Owls, Howard Schnellenberger was honored. In fact, he was named, “Honorary Captain” that day for both teams.
Miami struggled at first, including two dropped catches by Stacy Coley (one in the end-zone and the other on a wide-open post-route), and a near-missed pick-six by Denzel Perryman.
Still, the Miami Hurricanes eventually turned it on, prevailing, 34-6.
