On Saturday, September 19 at 3:30 p.m. (EDT), the hardest part of the Miami Hurricanes’ 2015-16 schedule begins as they face the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

More from Miami Hurricanes Football

Last year, the Cornhuskers ran the ball all over the ‘Canes, literally, in their loss, 41-31. Led by Ameer Abdullah (and his 229 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns), the ‘Huskers had a total of 343 yards on the ground.

Throughout the first 2 quarters, Miami held their own. They even kept it within 3 points after the first-half. But later, turnovers and a poor job defensively had the ‘Canes gasping for air.

Now, Abdullah has left for the NFL and Nebraska lost their opening game to BYU. But, the ‘Canes mustn’t overlook Nebraska at all.  Possessing a loss and knowing the history between UM and Nebraska, makes this all the more reason for Nebraska to come out swinging.

And, with Miami giving up 223 yards on the ground vs FAU and losing linebacker, Darrion Owens for the year, Nebraska’s Tommy Armstrong Jr. and company could possibly have a field day.

Miami will need all the fire power they have.

With that said, let’s take a look back to 2014 and Miami’s “Top 5” plays against Nebraska.
