Miami Hurricanes Football: 10 Best Quarterbacks in School History

Since the early 1980’s, the Miami Hurricanes have not only developed countless pro-ready athletes, but turned out numerous NFL superstars, including at the quarterback position.

Miami is top of the pack when it comes to first-round NFL draft picks. And, former players have gone on to become Pro Bowlers, Hall of Famers and NFL legends.

The University of Miami is a football talent factory and though it’s been a while since the ‘Canes put out a notable NFL quarterback, they’ve been responsible for some amazing ones in the college ranks.

In fact, two Miami quarterbacks had even gone on to win the Heisman Trophy, the highest individual award in college football (with many as Heisman Trophy Finalists).

Miami was known as “Quarterback U” and ironically a former ‘Canes quarterback, Mark Richt takes over the helm of the University of Miami football program.

The ‘Canes look to rekindle their quarterback legacy and in doing so, get back to national dominance.
