Notre Dame is Catholic, not choir boys
Notre Dame University President John Jenkins said at the time:
"“None of these findings can do anything to replace the loss of a young man with boundless energy and creativity. As I said last fall, we failed to keep him safe, and for that we remain profoundly sorry,” Jenkins said in a prepared statement."
Were they truly sorry or was it just a prepared statement. The findings from the Indiana OHSA were disturbing.
Indiana OHSA commissioner Lori Torres discussed the findings.
"“The evidence overwhelmingly demonstrated that the university made a decision to utilize its scissor lifts in known adverse weather conditions” Per ESPN: “(The) scissor lifts rented by the university were not supposed to be used in winds above 28 mph, but the weather service had issued a warning saying winds of 25 mph to 35 mph were expected with gusts of up to 45 mph.”"
Indiana Deputy Labor Commissioner Jeff Carter said:
"“The decision to play outdoors was the coaches — whether they were going to practice inside or outside, I think that was the coaches”"
With the revival of Catholic versus convicts prevalent this week we need to further examine which school has had more egregious events happen. The Miami Hurricanes history is not without its faults.

There have certainly been times UM could have been accused of being arrogant. The difference between Miami and Notre Dame is that Miami’s arrogance seems to be limited to football.
