Yoon has struggled on field goals in 2017. He has made just nine out of 13. Badgley is one of the nation’s best kickers. Badgley has made 12 of 14 fields goals and all 30 extra points. If the game comes down to a late field goal again, Miami has a huge advantage.

Zach Feagles has had a solid season for Miami. Although he is averaging only 38.6 yards per punt, he has excelled at pinning opponents inside the 20 and forcing fair catches.

Notre Dame has a huge advantage at punter.  Tyler Newsome is averaging 44.3 yards per punt. That puts him 18th nationally.

Thomas has averaged a solid 22.1 yards per kickoff return. He has yet to break one. He has several big plays on offense over the past few weeks. It seems like just a matter of time before he breaks one in the return game.

Berrios’ 16.3 yards per punt return places him among the nation’s best. He has had several returns that he was close to breaking for a touchdown this season but has yet to do so. He’s arguably been Miami’s best player this season.

Notre Dame’s C.J. Sanders is 42nd in FBS averaging 24.1 yards per kickoff return. Notre Dame has been anemic on punt returns. Chris Finke averages just 5.3 yards per return. Miami has one of the nation’s best punt coverages teams. That should continue.
