Rosier’s accuracy is going to be the difference between him keeping his job in 2018 or being beaten out by redshirt Freshman N’Kosi Perry or true Freshman Jerren Williams. Head Coach Mark Richt looks for three things in his quarterbacks. He wants someone that will take care of the ball, is accurate and is a threat in the running game.

Rosier was two of those three in 2017. He threw 26 touchdown passes against 14 interceptions. He was excellent in the regular season taking care of the ball. In Miami’s 11 regular season games, Rosier threw 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

In Miami’s final two games of the season he had one touchdown pass and five interceptions. He completed just 44 percent of his passes over the final three games of the season.

Miami needs the passing game to grow next season or opponents are going to stack the line of scrimmage and force the Hurricanes to run the ball. The Hurricanes did a good job running the football against Wisconsin,
