The Miami Hurricanes travel to Virginia Tech on Saturday winners of three of their last four games. They are coming off of a 69-57 home win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.

The Miami Hurricanes travel to Blacksburg 16-5 overall and 5-4 in the Big East. Miami has lost the last two and three of their last four games at Virginia Tech. The teams have split the last four meetings. Before that Miami had won five straight against the Hokies. The Hurricanes lead the all-time series 20-14.

The Hokies enter Saturday’s game 16-6 overall and 5-4 in the ACC. Miami, North Carolina State and VaTech are in a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference.

Louisville is currently in fourth place in the ACC at 6-3. The Hurricanes own the important tiebreaker over the Cardinals with a win last week. The top four teams in the ACC receive a double bye in the conference tournament.

Virginia Tech has won three straight after losing four of their first six conference games this season. Two of those wins were on the road. The other was a home victory over North Carolina.

Virginia Tech has feasted on the bottom of the ACC this season. Their other four victories are against injury-depleted Notre Dame, Boston College, Wake Forest and Pittsburgh.

The matchup with the Hurricanes will be a good test for both teams. This is the first of two meetings this season. Virginia Tech comes to the Watsco Center on in the final regular-season game March 3.

The Hokies feature a very balanced attack. Five Virginia Tech players averaged in double figures and a sixth averages 8.7 points per game. They are an exceptional offensive team.

Virginia Tech is 13th in the nation averaging 85.1 points per game. Virginia Tech is also 4th in field goal percentage, 21st in three-point field goal percentage and 19th in assists this season.
