Perez pitched one inning in the 2011 All-Star game. He gave up a two-out double to St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina.

Perez got 2018 All-Star starter Matt Kemp to fly out to right to begin the sixth inning. He struck out Reds first baseman Joey Votto for the second out. After Molina’s double, Justin Upton flew out to right to end the inning.

Perez did not pitch in his second all-star appearance in 2012. He was unable to get into an 8-0 American League loss to the National League. Perez pitched one more season for the Indians before joining the Dodgers for the 2014 season. That was his last year in the Majors.
