The players who have been rehabbing and recovering from injuries during the offseason appear to be healthy. Chiang reported that Ahmmon Richards was not wearing a knee brace and was able to participate fully in practice.

Other injured players that were able to participate after dealing with injuries during last season or Spring practice were wide receiver Evidence Njoku, defensive end Demetrius Jackson and linebackers Zach McCloud and Charles Perry.

Christy Cabrera Chirinos of the Sun Sentinel reported that the Soffer Indoor Practice facility is almost ready. She mentioned that construction workers were working on the facility on Saturday morning while the Hurricanes were practicing outside on the Greentree Practice Facility. The Soffer should be ready to open later this month.

Both Chiang and Chirinos both reported that the tight end group was fronted by Michael Irvin II running with the first-team offense, Sophomore Brian Polendey with the second team and Freshmen Brevin Jordan with the third-team and Will Mallory fourth-string.

Expect that to somewhat flip. Jordan and Mallory should be the first and second string by the time training camp ends later this month. Richt has said during the offseason that he envisions Jordan and Mallory playing in a lot of two tight end sets.
