Miami Basketball tries to build on Wake Forest win vs North Carolina
Freshman Coby White is the other Tar Heel averaging in double figures. He is posting 14.2 PPG, 3.9 RPG and 2.6 APG. White’s classmate Nassir Little is another player to watch. Little was a key figure in Miami’s alleged involvement in the Addidas bribery scandal. Little was alleged to have taken money from Miami.
The Miami basketball program and Little were later cleared from any wrongdoing, but it cost the Hurricanes a traditional 2018 recruiting class. Little is a special talent. He is averaging 9.8 PPG, 4.4 RPG and shooting 49.6 percent from the floor in 19.2 minutes per game.
Late on Friday afternoon, the Lawyer for Miami Junior center-forward Dewan Hernandez posted on Twitter that his client will continue to be ineligible after the NCAA did not rule on his case on Friday. Hernandez has missed the first 16 games of Miami’s season after being ruled ineligible shortly before Miami’s season opener.

Sophomore guard Chris Lykes has been outstanding for Miami. The diminutive point guard is averaging 17.9 PPG, 3.6 APG and 2.6 RPG. Lykes has six 20 point games this season.
Three of those have come in the last five games. Over those five games, Lykes is averaging 21.8 PPG, shooting 53.2 percent from the floor, 45.8 percent on three-point attempts and 82.1 percent from the free throw line.
With the Duke players dominating the ACC Player of the Week Awards, Lykes has been shutout thus far. North Carolina is Miami’s only game this week so Lykes has another tough battle to earn ACC POTW.
