. Harris led Miami in sacks in 2017 and tied for fourth in tackles for loss. Williams is close with Miami commit Jalen Rivers which is expected to help give the Hurricanes an edge. He is expected to announce later this summer.

At just 5’9 193 pounds, Ladarius Tennison is considered one of the most physical players in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Tennison’s decision is likely to come down to Miami and Auburn. The three crystal ball projections have two undecided where he will play in college and a third projecting him signing with the Tigers.

Lake observed that “Tennison takes excellent angles when in pursuit of the ball and he hits so hard that opposing ball carriers feel his presence.” Lake also stated that Tennison is an impactful in-the-box safety.

At 5’9 that’s going to be a tough expectation at that position. Tennison would be the third commit at safety to Miami for 2020.

If Miami can get commitments from and then sign Washington, Walker, Tennison, Worsham and Williams that would vault them to fifth in the national rankings ahead of Notre Dame and just behind Ohio State. Diaz and his staff need to keep the momentum going. Getting commitments from two to three would be a huge coup.

The Hurricanes 2019 signing class slumped to 28th after the 2018 class finished eighth nationally. The addition of the eight players from the transfer portal to the 2019 roster created a lot of excitement and provided a boost that the Miami football program needed. Diaz and his staff have brought excitement back to the U.
