The Miami football team will honor their seniors in the final home game of the season on Saturday against Virginia Tech. Miami will have one of its largest classes of seniors after several players return for the extra season granted because of COVID. The final game of the regular season is next week at Duke.

Miami won 25-24 at Virginia Tech last season. The Hurricanes have won three of the four against the Hokies. Both teams enter the game on Saturday after a tumultuous week. Miami fired athletic director Blake James on Monday. Virginia Tech fired head coach Justin Fuente on Tuesday. J.C. Price was named interim coach.

Price was the co-defensive line coach. Prior to coming to Virginia Tech this season, Price spent nine seasons at Marshall. Price was the co-defensive coordinator of the Thundering Herd for the last three seasons. Jenn Strawley is the interim athletic director for Miami replacing James. A quick search is expected for Miami AD.

Miami will try to get back on track after a disappointing 31-28 loss at Florida State on Saturday. The Miami football team won their three previous games before the loss to the Seminoles. Virginia Tech won 48-17 at Duke last weekend and has won two of their last three. Miami and Virginia Tech are both 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the ACC.

Miami Football versus Virginia Tech all-time series
