We're sure you've probably seen things by now, but the smack talk coming in on new Miami football quarterback Carson Beck just won't stop this offseason. Georgia fans are still mad at him for not living up to the hype in 2024, but are we going to forget about all of the dropped balls?

Now that Beck has signed to play for Mario Cristobal, people continue to bash him and his new team, claiming the Canes won't be able to do much of anything next season. Yeah, we're going to go ahead and respectfully disagree with that.

The same can be said for 247's Gerald Dixon. Earlier in the week, Dixon made headlines for claiming Jeremiah Smith is not a generational talent just yet. However, he was singing a different tune while discussing Beck, not holding back in saying he's one of the best returning QBs in 2025 in college football.

Carson Beck and Miami will be ready to silence the haters in 2025

“Carson Beck is one of the best quarterbacks in college football, point blank, period," Dixon said with conviction. "Now it’s on Shannon Dawson to unlock him. To make him play more freely. Give him some easier throws, some lay-ups. Move him a little bit, don’t keep him in the pocket as a statue.”

Shannon Dawson, Miami's offensive coordinator, was linked with a potential move to Ohio State, but that's not going to happen. With the Buckeyes promoting Brian Hartline, Dawson isn't going anywhere and he'll be ready to bring out the best of Beck next fall and winter.

That shouldn't be too hard, as Beck is a big-time talent. There's a good reason Georgia was pushing for him to return to Athens even after he entered the portal. Why do we think Kalen DeBoer and Alabama came calling too? It's because Beck has what it takes to help a team win the natty.

Beck was with Georgia for two National Championship-winning seasons, watching Stetson Bennett lead Kirby Smart and Co. to the glory. He's now hoping to win a ring as a starter, ready to make that happen with Miami. Fans can't wait to see what the youngster will be able to get done in '25. There's a ton of pressure on him, but Dixon and other analysts are confident he'll produce for Cristobal.
