As a junior, Fryzel caught 43 passes for 807 yards (18.8 yards per reception) and scored 10 touchdowns while helping Central Catholic reach the state title game. His junior season performance earned him all‑state honorable mention honors. His junior film shows a long‑strider with “big slot” ball skills who is a vertical threat off the line.
He’s a polished prospect with ideal size and strong receiving ability, though he’d likely add more bulk in college. Coaches see him primarily as a receiving tight end or “big slot” as someone who can exploit linebacker mismatches, while also lining up on the outside. Notre Dame's Mike Martin called Fryzel a great fit for their offensive scheme and it appears that the visit to South Bend made a serious impression.
On the recruiting trail he’s been active, visiting Notre Dame twice (with one official earlier this month), making an unofficial to Iowa in April, and traveling to Miami in early June. Fryzel has an official visit set with Iowa on June 20. Prior to his top‑three, his top schools included Cincinnati, Duke, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and others. Duke and Minnesota are teams that probably feel left out right now as Fryzel had an official visit to the Duke campus on June 6 as well as to Minnesota on May 30.
His commitment is set for June 23 with each finalist offering different fits that may appeal to him. Miami currently does not have a tight end committed in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
