Is four-star wide receiver Ah'Mari Stevens looking around?

Keeping recruits in the fold for a long period of time is challenging for any coach and Mario Cristobal is not immune to it. As Cristobal and the Hurricanes staff work hard to flip some elite prospects, other schools are working equally hard to get some of Miami's current pledges to reconsider.

Stevens, who has been committed to the Hurricanes for over a year, had some interesting things to say about interest from the Georgia Bulldogs.

Hurricanes WR commit calls Georgia a 'dream school'

There's nothing surprising about Georgia going after Stevens. The Bulldogs won't be the only school, expect others to follow. Texas extended an offer a couple of weeks ago. Plus, Chaminade-Madonna is one of the top programs in Florida and every top school is recruiting there, trying to get some sort of pipeline established.

Miami has the clear location advantage over any school after Stevens. Chaminade-Madonna is 30 minutes from Coral Gables and Stevens has access to the campus whenever he wants. But we also have to remember that Miami is just starting to become a top program in his lifetime. When he was jn youth football as a pre-teen, it was Georgia, Alabama and Clemson that regularly ruled college football. So, it makes a lot of sense that Stevens would consider Georgia a dream school. And at the level the Hurricanes are recruiting these days, they are going to be challenged by the other top programs. That's a good place to be.

Stevens is one of four Miami commits, all in-state prospects that have been committed for several months. It'll be interesting to see what Stevens' next moves are now that he's getting a lot of attention on the circuit. In the coming weeks, we'll see where he decides to take unofficial visits, which schools are visiting him and if he locks in official visits with other schools over the summer. Between the staff's pursuit of other players and their efforts to hold on to commits, it's going to be a wild few months for recruiting.
