Miami's huge official visit weekend already had enough star power, but AJ Randle Jr. gave Hurricanes fans one of the clearest signs yet that he is not treating his word like a soft commitment.

The four-star linebacker from Garner, North Carolina, is in Coral Gables for his official visit and posted a message Friday that sounded a lot like a player fully bought into what Miami is building. Randle wrote, "Canes fam y'all said y’all wanted an Athlete? We'll Talk Soon," while tagging Miami football and Miami track and field.

Randle committed to Miami on May 21, choosing the Hurricanes over a group that included Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, South Carolina and NC State.

Randle has an impressvie track resume, winning the North Carolina 7A state championship in the 300-meter hurdles this spring with a time of 37.38 seconds. He also holds a 14.36 in the 110-meter hurdles.

On3/Rivals lists Randle as the No. 57 overall player and No. 5 linebacker in the 2027 class. And when you consider his track speed and size — 6-foot-3, 210 pounds — it makes sense why the top programs want him.

Randle has made it clear that he sees himself as more than a traditional inside linebacker. After his commitment, he said he wanted to do "a little bit of everything," pointing to Miami's use of Rueben Bain Jr. off the edge and his own interest in learning both inside linebacker and edge responsibilities.

When Randle committed he originally had a busy official visit schedule, with trips lined up to South Carolina, NC State, Florida, Miami, Ohio State and Georgia. After committing, he moved forward with Miami as the lone future official visit, and that makes his posts feel more authentic and not like he is taking advantage of the free press.
