While Miami is winning on the football field in 2025, they are also building something along the 2026 recruiting trail. Four-star wide receiver Milan Parris has decommitted from Iowa State, telling Rivals' Greg Smith and Hayes Fawcett he's reopening his recruitment. At 6-foot-5-inches and 210 pounds, the standout WR was Iowa State's highest-ranked 2026 pledge and now becomes one of the top recruits back on the market.

The timing for Parris is interesting as his visit calendar heating up. He took an official visit to Oklahoma this past weekend, and Miami is next on deck. While it appears to be a two-team race currently, Oregon and Auburn are also pushing for visits as his recruitment resets.
The Hurricanes offered in September as Parris' stock spiked. In his junior year, Parris hauled in 28 catches for 597 yards and 9 TDs (21.3 YPC) for a 13–1 team. He's ranked No. 159 nationally and as the No. 21 WR by 247Sports. In the 247Composite rankings he is No. 220 nationally and the No. 37 WR.
Parris had been committed to Iowa State since January, but a September offer run and his visit plans signaled a classic flip watch before Wednesday's decommit became official. With the commitment off, he's in play for Miami as they get him on campus with momentum after climbing to No. 2 in the AP poll and beating Florida State on the road.
Not only does Miami's case strengthen because of their ranking, but the offense is attractive to recruits. Despite losing their top-6 pass-catchers from last year — most of whom are in the NFL currently — they haven't missed a beat this season. This may be QB Carson Beck's last year, but with OC Shannon Dawson running the show, the Hurricanes offense will be effective next year. And the emergence of true freshman WR Malachi Toney gives hope to recruits looking for early playing time. Parris will surely be a name to watch over the coming weeks for Miami fans.
