A huge recruiting tug‑of‑war is underway for IMG Academy interior offensive lineman Breck Kolojay and the Miami Hurricanes remain firmly in the hunt. Once viewed as a battle mostly between Georgia and Miami, Kolojay’s recruitment has opened up in recent weeks, with USC and Oklahoma emerging as major contenders alongside those original favorites. Kolojay will announce his commitment on August 1, ahead of his senior season.

Miami hosted Kolojay on an official visit June 6, shortly before trips to Georgia on June 13 and USC on June 17, with Tennessee and Ohio State also in the mix. Following the Georgia visit, reports indicated Kolojay was closing in on a commitment timeline that would precede his senior season.
Kolojay, a 6‑5, 295‑320 lb interior guard from IMG Academy, grew up in Littleton, Colorado. He is rated as a four‑star recruit and ranks among the top interior offensive linemen in the Class of 2026. High-level programs across the country have offered him outside of his top five, including Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Texas, and Penn State.
At Miami, Kolojay visited with Jackson Cantwell, the Hurricanes’ five‑star tackle commit. After their visit, Cantwell posted a photo of them together in Miami gear giving a strong endorsement for a program with proven OL development under Alex Mirabal and Mario Cristobal. In contrast, at Georgia Kolojay’s high school teammate Zech Fort is already committed, and at USC he has longtime Colorado friends in Mark Bowman and Kannon Smith. Those connections are a major draw on all sides. Colorado, after the recent news that head coach Deion Sanders overcame his battle with bladder cancer, sured up that the he will be a part of the program moving forward. The hometown pull and recent news could be pivotal in Kolojay's decision.
Kolojay has said recruitment will come down to where he feels at home, combined with fair NIL value and the right timing. Despite Miami already having multiple OL commitments, Kolojay insists he remains their top interior priority and is unconcerned about position depth there.
