4-star WR Quentin Hale
The 6-foot-3 pass catcher is a consensus top-50 prospect in the 2027 cycle and one of the top wideouts in the West, with recruiting services listing him as a top-10 receiver and top-10 player in California.
Hale already has 2,000 receiving yards in his first three varsity seasons at Cathedral, including a breakout sophomore year back in 2024. He earned Cal-Hi Sports all-state underclass honors and was named a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American after that 2024 campaign.
Right now, four programs have started to separate. USC, Tennessee, Alabama and Ohio State are setting the pace in his recruitment. Hale has taken visits to places like USC and plans to keep hitting campuses as his junior year continues.
Miami is not in that top four tier yet, but being in the group is a good start. The Hurricanes offered Hale early and have him among their top 2027 wide receiver targets.
The Hurricanes have some good sales pitches to give to high school WR's. Miami can point to an offense that has been elite in two straight years, a big time freshman wide receiver in Malachi Toney and a program that is trending in the right direction nationally.
One thing that Miami will need to do to keep the WR commits coming is figure out their QB situation for next year. Whether they look to the transfer portal for the third straight year, or go with one of the signal callers already on the roster, it is very important they have a QB that they trust — and one that helps attract talent.
