Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes staff will have a lot going on this weekend between official visits and the first of several prospect camps.
With the first sets of visitors expected to arrive in less than 24 hours, this weekend should be the start of a fruitful final stretch of recruiting before the summer dead period and the focus shifts to ramping up before the start of the 2026 season.
What to watch for during the first official visit weekend
Top targets to keep an eye on: Cristobal and the staff will be paying extra attention to four-star linebacker Kaden Henderson and four-star wide receiver Eli Woodard. Henderson is arguably the top linebacker recruit in the state and Miami has a great chance to take the lead in a recruiting battle that features Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Ohio State and LSU among others. The blue-chip linebacker was on campus in the spring and seemed very bullish on the Hurricanes. We'll see if Miami can take another step forward this weekend. It's officially commitment watch for Woodard. It's been a couple of weeks since he de-committed from USC and Miami is currently the only official visit on the schedule, but UCLA has been promised one and Cal is heavily in the picture. There is a great chance for Cristobal to add another receiver to the class.

Camp finds: While the Hurricanes will have 16 recruits on campus for official visits, there will be another 150 prospects on the practice field participating in the OL/DL camp. Recruiting on the lines is Cristobal's bread and butter, so he's going to be in the weeds Sunday afternoon watching prospects in the 2028 and 2029 class compete. There will also be some 2027 prospects that the staff invited and want to get an extra look at. Miami's offensive line class has taken shape well, but Cristobal is never afraid to add another big body if he thinks it will boost the roster. And the defensive line class remains very fluid, so the opportunity for a new name to emerge is high.
Bond of brothers: Of the 16 visitors, six are current commitments and this weekend will offer a chance for these future teammates to bond and talk about what their future as Hurricanes will be. The three most recent commitments — five-star defensive back Donte Wright, four-star cornerback Al'King Hall and four-star linebacker AJ Randle — will all be on campus along with five-star wide receiver Nick Lennear, four-star offensive lineman Sean Tatum and four-star defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile.
Flip season in full effect: Five-star edge rusher Jaiden Bryant will be on campus this weekend and the Hurricanes are a school that has been mentioned as a potential flip possibility for the LSU commitment. Miami is looking for a big-time pass rusher to add to this class and Bryant fits that bill. The Tigers have been saying the right things to the elite prospect from Columbia, South Carolina, but now Cristobal is going to get his shot. Don't be surprised if Bryant leaves Coral Gables this weekend thinking about what life would be like with the Hurricanes.
