Five-star Miami 2028 target Asher Ghioto posted an Instagram story on Tuesday showing himself in a Hurricanes uniform. It was a black-and-white image of the edge rusher walking through smoke in a No. 34 jersey with "GHIOTO" across the back. He had a Miami helmet on his head and the program's "U" logo in the corner.

5-star EDGE Asher Ghioto posts himself in a Miami jersey
Ghioto remains uncommitted in the 2028 class and is still scheduled to visit several programs this fall. But it surely a great sign for the Miami Hurricanes.
Ghioto, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound junior from Jacksonville, is a five-star prospect across all of the major recruiting services. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 3 player nationally, the No. 1 edge rusher and the No. 2 recruit in the state. Rivals has him as the No. 7 overall prospect and the No. 2 edge rusher.
Ghioto recorded 84 tackles, 35 tackles for loss and 23 sacks as a sophomore while helping Bolles finish 13-2 and reach the Florida Class 2A championship game. He was a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American after earning the same freshman honor the year before. In two high school seasons he has been credited with 56 tackles for loss and 30 sacks.
Through three games this season at Bolles, Ghioto has 14 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 10 quarterback hurries.
Miami's October 17 game against Florida State is on his calendar and would be his sixth trip to Coral Gables. It looks like he might be in attendance for Miami at Notre Dame (visiting ND). He also has fall visits set for Georgia on Sept. 26 against Oklahoma, Texas A&M on Oct. 3 against Arkansas and South Carolina on Oct. 24 against Tennessee. He was in Gainesville on Sept. 5 for Florida's 66-21 win over FAU in the first game of the Jon Sumrall era.
