5-star EDGE Asher Ghioto will be part of Miami's big recruiting weekend against FSU

Add Asher Ghioto's name to the growing list of blue-chip targets that will be at Hard Rock Stadium on October 17 when the Miami Hurricanes host FSU.

That game is shaping up to be the big in-season recruiting weekend for Mario Cristobal and staff this season and the best opportunity to bring many of the targets together at one game for a game where the atmosphere will be at a fever pitch.

As for Ghioto, the FSU-Miami game is part of a very busy fall schedule where he's going to load up on the frequent flyer miles.

"I know I'm going to Texas A&M—Arkansas. I'll be at Miami-Florida State, I'll be at Florida-FAU, Notre Dame-Miami, Texas-Ohio State, South Carolina-Oklahoma, Georgia-Oklahoma, and I'm going to make other visits to Ohio State, and that's probably going to be for the Ohio State-Michigan game and possibly Oklahoma and Clemson as well," Ghioto told Kolby Crawford from 247Sports.

Ghioto has been on campus a few times already and worked out for the Hurricanes staff in June. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, Ghioto has been offered by many of the top programs in the country, and he's yet to put together a final list of schools, but Miami has been trending for him and holds a 67% chance of gaining his commitment, according to the Rivals/On3 predictor.

Some schools that are doing a great job would definitely be Texas A&M, Miami, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas, Southern California too. They're doing a phenomenal job. Notre Dame as well," Ghioto added.

That's a strong list of schools and obviously the one that stands out as a real thorn in Miami's side is Texas A&M. The Aggies love to toss that oil money around and have a recent record of landing top-end Florida prospects. 

It doesn't seem like Ghioto will make a decision without going through the season and seeing what he wants to see. At some point in the fall, he should begin to trim his list down to a handful of schools, and it would be a shock if the Hurricanes aren't included in that list.
