Five-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant, an LSU commit and one of the top defensive prospects in the 2027 class, arrived in Miami and shared an official visit video that should only add to the buzz around the Hurricanes' push to flip him.

Miami gets its shot at a 5-star LSU commit
Bryant has been committed to LSU since Jan. 3, but Miami has continued to recruit him like a priority target. The visit to Coral Gables is the first stop in a loaded official visit schedule. Bryant is set to visit Miami on May 29, Texas A&M on June 5, South Carolina on June 12 and LSU on June 19.
The Rivals Industry Ranking places Bryant as a five-star prospect with a 95.45 rating. He ranks No. 29 nationally, No. 4 among EDGE prospects and No. 1 in South Carolina.
247Sports ranks No. 19 overall, No. 4 among EDGE prospects and No. 1 in South Carolina. The 247Sports Composite places him No. 20 nationally, No. 2 at his position and No. 1 in the state.
Bryant finished the 2025 season with 79 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, six fumble recoveries and one interception. He helped his team go 12-2 and reach the South Carolina Class 5A Division 2 state title game.
In his sophomore season, Bryant had 92 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, seven pass breakups and four forced fumbles in 2024.
Miami's defensive commits in the 2027 class
The Hurricanes have 15 commitments and the group already includes blue-chip defensive pieces such as Donte Wright and Ai'King Hall.
